Despite slow registration manner, JAMB registers 800,000 candidates in 17 days

The board’s Head of Information, Dr Fabian Benjamin, instructed the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos that the introduction of the remita mode of fee has stepped forward the system of acquiring registration files.
NAN reports that potential applicants for the 2017 all Computer Based Testing (CBT) had entreated the board to consider extending the registration period because of the multiple demanding situations accompanying the procedure.  

They defined the manner as bulky, annoying and irritating and as such, that there has been need to increase the deadline that allows you to capture all.

However, Benjamin stated that the advent of the remita mode of fee had mitigated the demanding situations confronted via the applicants in obtaining the e-pins.

 He advised NAN that the new remita mode allowed everybody to make payment and get the e-pins from the consolation in their homes. “This degree has doubled the fee of the registration as over 800,000 applicants have registered. “I need to assure all applicants that are desirous of registering for this exam, will no longer be not noted. “We are working tough to ensure that no Nigerian infant is denied of his or her right of advancing in schooling. “What we're doing currently is for the advantage of now not best these candidates, however for the entire Nigerians. “We do now not intend to increase the registration deadline as we are positive that all of the candidates will be duly registered,’’ he instructed NAN.

 Benjamin stated that reports had also indicated that many registration centre owners were happy with the manner the exercising changed into going.

He said the centre owners had not complained of any form of demanding situations as they have been well briefed, and the centres, well screened earlier than the registration commenced.
