The fiscal and financial Crimes commission, EFCC, has made a main step forward in its case against Dame persistence Jonathan, wife of former President Goodluck Jonathan, because the 4 corporations charged alongside a former presidential adviser, Waripamo Dudafa, and two others, for cash laundering have pleaded responsible to the offence.
At a Federal high court docket sitting in Lagos Thursday, the four corporations pleaded responsible to conspiring with Dudafa and the 2 others to launder a sum of $15,591,seven hundred for the previous First woman, Punch writes.
Dudafa had opened the 4 organizations to aid launder the $15, 591,seven-hundred for Dame patience of which she was once the sole signatory.
The companies in question are Pluto Property and funding organization restricted; Seagate Property progress & investment Co. Confined; Trans Ocean Property and funding corporation restricted and development organization restrained and Avalon global Property progress enterprise constrained.
Following an investigation of the previous presidential adviser, the EFCC had considering the fact that frozen the $15.6m discovered within the four businesses’ bills in Skye financial institution.
